Modern forensic science has been able to exonerate many who have been wrongfully convicted in the past. But science can only go so far. Has your character ever been wrongfully attacked? Sometimes it's one person’s word against another and science cannot help. However, we have an advocate -- the Holy Spirit!

In Acts 24 Paul is wrongfully accused, his character is on the stand, a political fraud. Sound familiar? We are living in a world where up is down and the wrong is right. The truth is often hard to decipher among lies. But those who put their trust in the Lord can be certain of one thing, up is up, down is down, wrong is wrong, and right is right. Don’t be deceived, we have but one enemy, Satan, the master of lies. Likewise, there is only One Judge. Jesus will ultimately judge humanity.

The Bible doesn’t promise heaven on earth, but it does promise justice. Paul stood his ground, spoke the truth, but was still imprisoned. Perhaps you or someone you know may have also suffered injustice.  I encourage you to keep the faith, stay the course. Paul did his best to… “maintain a blameless conscience both before God and before other people, always.” If you do likewise you have nothing to fear. Humanity will one day stand for our Lord, Justice will prevail.

A Prayer

Lord, thank you for being my advocate. Help me trust you and strengthen my faith when things are rough. I leave justice in your sovereign Hands.
